Power Pilates

Our trademark strength and conditioning reformer class. This dynamic 45 minute class will up the burn and the sweat and test your endurance by increasing the pace and the challenge.

You may come across jumpboards, weights, and heavier springs to bring that burn! This class may include jumping and moves to increase your heart rate (to help you live longer!) so please consider this before booking in, especially if you are new to reformer, or exercise in general. Please join a Flow class if you want a slower, low impact option.

What to bring:

– Grip socks. (These are required to be worn for hygiene and safety reasons). You can purchase these in our studio.
– Water
– Towel.

Flow Pilates

A full body, low impact pilates class on the reformer.

All levels are welcome, however if you haven’t exercised in a while or are brand new to reformer pilates we recommend you start with at least one of our beginner classes. Progressions and options provided in classes to be able to challenge all levels.

This class will still bring that trademark Power Flow Pilates burn and endorphin hit, with a focus on building strength. There will be a focus on control, and the addition of some bendy and stretchy moves (think feet in straps!) designed to make you feel strong and amazing!

Beginner and Prenatal

These classes are optimal for any members who:

– are new to reformer pilates,
– haven’t exercised in a while,
– have minor injuries that need modifications (please note that medical clearance for general exercise is required), and
– are pregnant without any complications.

We will orient you with the reformer and take you through some standard exercises. The slower pace of the class allows us to accommodate and modify for our new and prenatal members.

No experience is required. The moves will be simple but you will still feel that Power Flow Pilates burn! Any and all are welcomed and encouraged. You can opt to do these classes for as long as you like, until you feel comfortable moving to our other classes available (prenatal to stay in these classes if you are new to reformer pilates).

Please bring your grip socks (available for purchase in our studio) and some water. You can bring a towel to lie over the reformer if you would like. Water is available in the studio, but we recommend bringing a water bottle for your convenience.

Parents and Bubs

These classes cater for our postnatal members and anyone with a baby – Dads included. Bubs are welcome and encouraged.

Any and all are welcome and encouraged, we are happy to orient you with the reformer if needed, or you can attend one of our beginner classes to start if you’d prefer – however no bubs for these please. Classes stay simple with no props – there will be enough going on in class!

The slower pace and smaller size of this class will allow you to attend to your bub if needed – no pressure, while ensuring you get the workout that you came for!

Please make sure you’ve had adequate clearance from your relevant medical practitioner before attending.

No age limit for children, however they will need to either be kept in the pram (feeding of any kind is welcome!) and then, if needed, held safely. No crawling around for safety reasons.

– Grip socks. (These are required to be worn for hygiene reasons). You can purchase these in our online store and pick up before your class

Over 55s

A strength and conditioning reformer pilates class catering to the particular needs of this age group.

Any and all are welcome! We will be happy to orient you to the reformer if you are new to reformer pilates.

As we age, it is more important than ever to ensure that our bodies are strong and our balance is optimal to improve the signs of ageing, maintain our muscle strength and reduce the risk of falling.

Please ensure medical clearance is obtained, if relevant.

Please bring:

– Grip socks. (These are required to be worn for hygiene and safety reasons). You can purchase these in our studio.
– Water
– Towel

Reformer classes

Our studios offers reformer classes. The Reformer is a specialised Pilates resistance trainer that was developed by Joseph Pilates as a great way to add additional load to your training while keeping the workout relatively low impact.

You won’t believe how much you will benefit from reformer training without the aches and pains of higher impact activities like the gym, team sports and running.

In the spirit of reconciliation, Power Flow Pilates respectfully acknowledges the Ngunnawal people as the traditional custodians of the land on which our studio operates, and also the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
